As a music lover I’m always trying to find new music to get into. From magazines, surfing online, social media and even word of mouth, my collection of music knows no bounds. No matter the genre, music is music and something I’m always on the hunt for.
Like Hunter Dumped Us Here, I had received a message from As December Falls to check out their music. I was particularly thrilled as they are a female fronted band. There aren’t too many female fronted bands that I actively listen to so anyone who fits that bill is more than welcome to come my way, haha. If you’re a fan of Fall Out Boy, Tonight Alive or You Me At Six then As December Falls is right up your alley.
I found myself listening to everything they have and “Keep Dreaming” became one of my favorites and ironically it’s the the latest song that got a music video. Upbeat and catchy, this song is one I’d blast in my car cruising down the road. It has a nostalgic feel, as though they’re someone I swear I already have a collection of. Which is a good thing – feelings of familiarity brings a certain comfort. However, don’t sleep on this band as they carry both strong vocals and overall presence making them a band worth noting. Whatever they have coming up next I’m 100% down for.
Be sure to check out “Keep Dreaming” along with the rest of their music and let me know what you think!
Female fronted pop-rockers, As December Falls, came crashing onto the scene late 2014. Instantly booked for festivals such as; Tramlines Festival, Macmillan Festival and more, support slots with the likes of Fearless Vampire Killers and William Beckett of The Academy Is, and released their single “Capture”, which soon grabbed the attention of Scuzz TV and was named as the “Best of the Underground 2015”.
As December Falls played Nottingham’s Rock City-Main Hall in under a year and after gaining so much momentum were able to achieve a crowd funded target of £1,800 in under 48 hours with the support of thousands of world-wide fans. This enabled the release of their debut EP, “When You Figure Our You’re Wrong, Get Back To Me”. The lead single of the EP, “Don’t Say A Word”, made it to Q Magazine’s track of the day, Alternative Press’s new music playlist, radio plays on Kerrang! with Johnny Doom, Planet Rock and Awesome Radio. The band then presented their first headline UK tour finishing with Camden Rocks Festival which was headlined by Young Guns.
“More to You” was released this year, alongside a sold out headline show at the infamous Rescue Rooms (450 cap). Next they released a pop-goes-punk cover of Little Mix’s “Touch” achieving over 393k views on Facebook alone. Just before heading out on their second headline tour, selling out venues around the U.K. the band is soon to play Hampshire’s Lowde Fest, supporting ABC. Macmillan Festival supporting Room 94, all whilst working on their debut album.
“As December Falls are making huge strides and have the potential to go much further than the UK! Definitely a band to watch out for.” – Rock Sound
